About me
My name is Terrie and I am an Ofsted registered childminder and run my own childminding business called Teddies Childminding. I run this from my home in Peacehaven, where I live with my husband Gavin and young son Chase. We have one cat called Buster who is very active and spends most of his time outside, we also have a dog called Tyrone who loves children he's so soft and gentle.
I have been working with children for over 17 years, both as a childminder and nursery nurse and I have experience of looking after children of all ages and needs. I have a NVQ3 in early years and education and a level 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare.
I am fully Ofsted registered and am a member of PACEY (professional association for childcare and early years). I hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate and am now a qualified first aider. I am also insured and have a valid liability insurance certificate. I have also been CRB checked.
Toys and Activities
We are in a great location with on street parking and on local bus routes. We have parks, toddler groups and the sea all just 5 minutes away. We have a separate play room full of educational toys and resources for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. I have a large garden with lots of outdoor toys and a grow corner for planting and growing our own plants and vegetables. Indoors we have lots of activities and will enjoy story corner and song time with the children.
We will visit lots of nice places during the day as well as toddler groups and outings during the week.
My childminding business is based around The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) areas of learning and development. This has been produced by the government and early years professionals for use by all early years providers including childminders. I use the areas of learning and development when I am observing, assessing and planning for your child’s individual needs. I make sure that I am constantly challenging and helping children to develop and succeed.
